Valkyria Chronicles manga scanlation

FTH has released the scanlation of the first chapter from the second volume of the manga based on Valkyria Chronicles. They also released the scanlation of Battlefield Virelai II (NSFW doujinshi).

Project X Zone Site Update

The Project X Zone site has updated to include information on the revealed characters, voice clips, and screen shots. Here is a link to Valkyria Chronicles 3 section where you can hear Kurt and Riela's voice samples.

If you want to see the game released outside of Japan you need to show your support to Namco since it has been reported that they are the ones who get to decide whether or not to localize it. For the time being the best way to do that would be to post on their Twitter, Facebook, and message board.

New Senjou no Valkyria figures announced!

Volks announced in the Hobby Round 7 event that took place on April 08, 2012 that they are going to release a new set of  Senjou no Valkyria figures, so far the details are few, basically the images told the the whole story. Some sources think that this will be a 8 figure collection that will cover all the girl from the series but as you can see in the image, only the logo for the two first games are shown, so at this point I will not put my hand on the fire for this sources.

Also if you remember, some months ago Volks announce a new Selvaria figure, it seems that it was a model kit that need assembling and painting and it was released in this same event.

Kurt and Riela announced as playable characters in Project X Zone [Updated with Scan]

Details for the mysterious collaboration between Sega, Namco Bandai, and Capcom have finally started to surface. Project X Zone will be a strategy RPG for the Nintendo 3DS with playable characters from various series. Kurt and Riela are one pair of characters representing Sega, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the VC cameos stop there. A trailer is expected to be released later this month, so keep an eye out for that.

Valkyria Chronicles 2: World Artworks Delayed

UDON Entertainment has announced that the Valkyria Chronicles 2: World Artworks has been delayed until "late May" rather than the expected April release. Amazon provides a more concrete release date of May 17, but there is no way of knowing right now if that will actually be the release date. It is possible that May 17 will indeed be the release date as that is in line with UDON's late May announcement, but do not be surprised if it turns out to be later than that.

Despite the delay, I urge everyone to still purchase the artbook. Not only will it be filled with wonderful art and information, good sales would go a long way in convincing UDON to release VC3's artbook despite the game not being localized.

Lets keep our fingers crossed for some good VC news to come our way. Hopefully we will get more information on the "Valkyria Duel" game recently trademarked.

SEGA in trouble

SEGA are planning to record 7.1 billion yen in extraordinary loss and it looks like they are going to cancel games, made some deep changes in the North American and European division and focus on brand like “Sonic the Hedgehog,”, “Football Manager”, “Total War” and “Aliens”, the ones that actually make money for them. You can read the details in this 2 pdfs but the news are all over the internet.

How does it affect Valkyria Chronicles?, hard to know, but one thing for sure, they are not going to waste money on bringing Valkyria Chronicles 3 to the west, or maybe even developing another Valkyria Chronicles game in the near future, but this depends on how happy are they with the sales in Japan.

Senjou no Valkyria & RAITA in Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter]

This is all the info and images that I manage to get from the Wonder Festival that took place 2 days ago. As far as I know the only figure that will be on stores is the Selvaria Bles figure created by Volks, the rest are model kits done by circles to be sold in hobby festivals. Regarding the RAITA figures, the only info that I manage to find it's that a company or circle called native is doing the Misa-nee from the Magical Girl doujinshi, for the rest I don't have a clue, and I don't know if the Misa-nee figure will be sold in stores or it's a model kit.

New Selvaria Bles figure by Volks

Fresh news from the Wonder Festival 2012. Volks is going to release a new Selvaria Bles figure with his trademark weapon, the Ruhm.

I'm  super busy right now and I can't search more pic or info, but as you can see in the image, the scale is 1/8 and the base price is 12.000 yens. I will make a new post ASAP with new info and images and also some RAITA figures info too.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 will be playable on PS VITA

Sony has announced the PSP games that will be compatible with PS VITA, and Valkyria Chronicles 2 is not one of them.

Update: It looks like the list provided by Sony is incomplete, and in fact, VCII is playable in PS VITA, here is a pic from Will Powers that proves that the game is playable on PS VITA.
