The game is developed by NHN Japan and SEGA, and starting today till June 25 they will have a "user test" period, after this period all the user data will be reseted in order to have everyone at the same level when the game is officially launched. The website mention Windows, Iphone and Android as platforms and the website have a section called "Smart Phone", at this point is unclear if the game will be available for iOS and Android devices through specific App or maybe they will release some kind of companion App, but It seems that the game will be playable with your Iphone and Android device just by going to the website. The test peirod is only available for PC user that are registered in the "Hangame" service.

The genre of Senjou no Valkyria DUEL is "simulation card game" and it look like your take side with one of the two alliances available and your mission is to conquer the general headquarters of the enemy, you will collect new cards, there is some kind of synthesis you can do with your card to power them up and also the game will show the battles in 3D (check the trailer). Other notable features are that the game will let you build your own training ground to train your troops (5 minutes per day), also note that the game will be free to play with microtransactions.

That's all for the moment, There is a lot of this I have to look before going into more detail, I will keep you guys informed to the best of my capabilities, if you can read japanese this is the time to join the blog, contact me.

  1. Consider this as a crossover of the all VC series ?

    1. Technically, VCIII was a crossover, featuring beloved characters from VC, and a few of the more likeable (not including Avan or Cosette) ones from VCII. This is more of a spin-off, no story, no canonity (you can have a whole squad of vyse's if you wanted), just a fun thing.

  2. I guess so, no story or anything, just battles and camp management. It's pretty cool, I played a little and I liked it, let's hope for an english release.

  3. If people are interested I could do a visual guide on how to sign up for those that can't read Japanese.

  4. Wow, I've been playing the game some and it's more fun than I expected. I haven't done too much besides try to defend territory (I chose the West Alliance, the blue side), but what I've seen I've liked.

  5. I'm having a lot of fun too, did you encounter any boss?. The combat system is pretty cool, you have orders, potential and some characters team-up to give you more "points".

    2. Bosses are a relatively easy way to get a lot of TP. Some, like Isara, took around 3 tries at 500%, the Generic Gallians can go down with a single 500% normally, ones like Avan may required a 500% and a 100% just to finish them off.

    3. In terms of orders, some, like Kurt's and Jaeger's, are pretty good. Some, like Cosette and Imca's, aren't that good. You want your best order in the leader slot, not the best unit.

    1. I agree. I think every single fan of VC (that can't read Japanese) would appreciate that. Also, it would be very good if everyone were to report what bugs they ran into while playing the game, seeing as how this is not the final version.

    2. Bugs, reading user mail caused the game to crash. Occasionally crashed when choosing battles, although that could be my unreliable 'net.

  9. I'm planning on getting to work on a visual walkthrough for registering later one. Even if you can't read Japanese, the required tutorial the game goes through does a very good job of teaching you the basics. So for now I'll work on the registration walkthrough.

The game makes you pick which Alliance to join, East or West, I picked West. It would be pretty cool if all of us were able to join the same side and work together!
